What I've Watched Recently

I’ve devoted the last few months to really maintaining a certain level of productivity when it comes to my business, which means that I haven’t had that much time or energy to binge watch like I used to. However, there have been a few shows and movies that I’ve somewhat gotten into that I think are worth sharing for anyone else who might be struggling with their entertainment options. I like an eclectic variety to choose from, which is why the list below will probably seem random and not at all cohesive.

My Current Favourite Podcasts

Podcasts are my favourite form of entertainment when it comes to long walks or public transit commutes. THE (SOMEWHAT) REAL WOMEN OF REALITY TV

I’m not going to sit here and claim to be holier-than-thou by saying that I dislike reality TV. On the contrary, I find it extremely entertaining, especially when it involves segregating certain types of people into one house. Jersey Shore by far is my favourite reality show because of its blatant idiocy. The producers know these people are caricatures, we know it and—dare I say—the participants themselves know it. This is the driving force behind most successful reality shows. We want to see them act ridiculous and they, in turn, fall into the trap of becoming who they are seen to be.

MUST WATCH DOCUMENTARIES/ SERIES FOR TRUE CRIME FANS

For any regular reader of Katsomething, It’s no secret that I have a mild to severe obsession with the true crime genre. I would have found this obsession a bit worrisome if it didn’t seem to be gaining more momentum what with all the TV shows and movies recently flooding Netflix. I can’t really say how it started, but I can say it hasn’t been slowing down and I know that there are many people out there like me that are fascinated by these real life mysteries.
